First of all, thanks to Notorious and Tee Junction for giving us the first Cafe Clash of 2007. Valentine's shirts are hard to pull off. I think they did well.
Notorious' simple yet shocking (to me) design shows us that St. Patrick's Day isn't the only holiday that could use a little College Humor. I must be old because I would have never connected the shocker with Valentine's Day. I'm sure it will be a big hit with the College crowd.
Tee Junction's Secret Lover has a nice vintage look to it. The colors are very "Valentinish". Everyone knows the song by Atlantic Starr. The song is truly a classic. I wish I new what the "Japanese" writing says.
Out of the two I would most likely buy Secret Lover, mostly because I am old and have kids. I don't want to explain what the hand means to my 10 year old yet.
Thanks again to both contestants. You guys did a great job. Good Luck.
In this case I agree with Juna. Both designs are high quality and obvious Valentine theme.
Notorius' shocker heart shirt actually made me laugh out loud. The font used for the text helped make it a funny shirt with an easy flow. Combine this with the graphic make this a fun shirt.
Tee Junction comes in with their Retro-y, somewhat Pop Artsy "Secret Lover" design. It has some great elements: The fonts work well with the design; to quote Juna it is very "valentinish"; it has cool looking kanji. I like it, but I dont really understand it.
Overall, I would probably buy the "Secret Lover" shirt.
